Hello! I'm Lucien, otherwise known as LucyGoldfish online.
I'm a Queer/BIPOC/Disabled digital artist who focuses mainly on character design and concept art.

My Portfolio

I'm most familiar with creating concept art for original projects and characters, though I've worked on all kinds of different projects with different themes!
Most of my art will include elements of horror/fantasy/scifi and I'm good with adapting my style to fit a project's needs.

Important Note

Unless we have been mutuals/friends/have known eachother prior to the commission, do not message me about unrelated topics.
This inlcudes: Personal details, personal stories, life updates (unless its needed for scheduling context), or personal/IRL photos!
"Why?"I have a set schedule and many projects that I'm tending to! It's nothing personal, but unrelated messages could bleed into my set times for work. Time that could be spent on your commission."What If I Want To Be Mutuals With/Befriend You?"
I'm always open to meeting new people! It is 100% okay to DM me leading with "I enjoy your art!" or "You seem cool, would you want to be mutuals?"
chances are that I'll respond with nothing but appreciation! I just would rather have that intent laid out in plain view instead of being suddenly bombarded with off-topic messages during a commission's timeframe.
"What Can I Talk About?"
My golden rule is "If you're not sure, just ask!", but there are some things that are 100% okay to message me about during an inquiry, such as:

  • Your character's backstory

  • The piece of media your character may be involved in (A comic/Short film/Book/TTRPG Campaign)

  • Your character's personality and traits

  • Potential poses and composition

  • Estimated "delivery" time of your commission

  • Any questions about the process

  • My terms of service/any Will Do's or Wont Do's that weren't listed in my TOS

  • You may even talk about your own love for art and experience with commissions!

If I notice any of this not being followed, I will give a polite warning, of course! Simple mistakes can be made. But any further inability to adhere to this very simple boundary may result in the cancellation of your commission without a refund. I greatly appreciate those who read this note thoroughly!

Frequently Asked Questions

"What Program/Materials Do You Use?"
I currently use Procreate on a 10th generation iPad and a 1st generation Apple Pencil
"How Did You Start Taking Commisssions?"
My friends and loved ones at the time had been interested in my art and wanted to commission me, So I'd initially started taking commissions from them before opening them up to the public :)
"Can I Use Your Work as A PFP/Banner/Screensaver, Or in Edits?"
As long as credit to any of my socials is given in a bio, caption, or pinned post, then absolutely!
"What Are Your Thoughts On Generative AI?"
To put it frankly, I despise it. I do not use or condone the usage of generative AI in any capacity. I do not want my work fed to AI at all. I do not want AI reference images given during a commission.
"What Fandoms Do You Primarily Make Art For?"
I'm involved in many different fandoms, but am most artistically active within the 'Deadlock', 'X-Men', 'Marvel Rivals', 'Outlast', and 'Overwatch' fandoms
"Do You Have Any Tips For Those Looking To Improve?"
I know you've heard it a million times already, but practice is the best thing you can do for yourself. But make sure you're practicing the elements that'll actually help you! If you struggle with anatomy, study the human body and how it's muscles connect and work together. If you struggle with facial expressions, learn the muscles of the face and think about how you can push them to portray what you want. And don't forget, not all of your art has to be a masterpiece. It's okay to fill a sketchbook up with studies.
